FireAlpaca vs MediBang Paint
thegr8valkyrie asked: Sooo what exactly are the differences between FireAlpaca and MediBang Paint Pro? Like, is there any reason I should use one over the other? I’ve played around a bit with both, but the only real difference, aside from MediBang’s cloud, is that they have a few different default brushes.
FireAlpaca has onion skin mode for frame-by-frame animation, and 3D perspective layers for creating 3D templates, neither of which is available in MediBang Paint.
This is a tutorial to help you understand how to use FireAlpaca and to show some special features in the program. Fire Alpaca is a free digital drawing progr. FireAlpaca is a Imaging and Digital Photo application like Caesium, Inpaint, and Logo Designer from FireAlpaca Team. It has a simple and basic user interface, and most importantly, it is free to download. FireAlpaca is an efficient software that is recommended by many Windows PC users. FireAlpaca is a simple and intuitive application with complex features that allow even inexperienced users to easily edit images or create artwork. The utility is light on resource requirements.

MediBang Paint is based on FireAlpaca with added cloud features (save to cloud, team projects, multi-page projects, halftone pattern/materials library, brush and font libraries, brush and palette and material sync between devices, post to MediBang - similar to a Japanese DeviantArt) and a dark interface.
MediBang Paint also has some extra non-cloud features e.g. on-screen button equivalents to holding down modifier keys (like Shift or Ctrl/mmd) and (recently) support for TIFF image format.
FireAlpaca is only available for full computer operating systems (Mac OS X and Windows), while MediBang Paint is also available on mobile devices (iPhone, iPad, and Android).
FireAlpaca is a 32-bit program, so it will work on some extra (and older) versions of Windows (latest version requires Windows Vista or later, older versions still available for download will also work on Windows XP), but is limited to working with a maximum 4GB of system and graphics memory combined.

MediBang Paint Pro (Windows) is also (default) available in a 64-bit version, which can handle all the memory in your computer and therefore works better with very large projects (large dimensions or print dimensions, and/or lots of layers).
FireAlpaca tends to get newer features first, and the features are added to MediBang Paint later, possibly after a few bug fixes.
