Denon are rewriting the capabilities of the stand alone media player, free from a user base expecting their ten year old USB stick to work flawlessly instantly. Sure, the SC6000 is capable of reading and playing a Rekordbox collection but that’s after a conversion process, not ideal for professionals who need to start their sets immediately. Compared to the CDJ-3000, the Denon SC6000 has had this feature for quite a while now, while adding other cool things like for example giving you the ability to add a picture to the center of the jog wheel. But aside from that, the features of the SC6000 and the CDJ-3000 are rather similar.

Please note that although announced at the same time as macOS Big Sur, Apple Silicon processors are an independent release with separate compatibility concerns for NI products. Compatibility with macOS Big Sur will not yet ensure compatibility with Apple Silicon processors.
